Continental HTR Tires

The Continental HTR is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. It is designed to be mounted on the vehicle’s trailer axle positions.

The model promotes great all season, thanks to the optimal tread design and the all season compound. The zigzag grooves lessen the chance of hydroplaning as they drain slush and water from under the footprint. This increases wet road grip and boosts driving safety. The biting edges along the circumferential grooves strongly grip the snowy road, improving winter-weather performance. The compound elements keep the tire operational in warm and cold months.

The tire reduces the chance of swaying throughout the performance. The strong construction and the stable tread area help avert flexing. The tread elements ensure close road contact. This combination boosts the towing stability. This means that the model increases the towing response time and accuracy, which secures a safe and stable driving experience.

Better durability is granted with this tire. The model minimizes deformation with the help of inner reinforcements. They make the tire sturdy enough to resist deformation under drive and load pressure. The enhanced carcass withstands heavy loads, while the tread pattern equally circulates pressure along the footprint. This improves load capacity and preserves the model’s best shape.

As a fuel-efficient tire, the model decreases its rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the energy needed to keep up the tire’s forward motion. This is achieved by reducing the pressure of the tire with the ideal tread pattern, the close road contact, and the optimal pressure distribution. The result is a vehicle with reduced fuel intake and lesser CO2 emissions.

The Continental HTR’s tread life is longer-lasting. This is so thanks to the closed and continuous shoulder ribs that stabilize the footprint. This also averts tread chipping on the shoulder area. Furthermore, the flat footprint and the consistent road contact promote even wear. Since irregular wear formations do not form, the model’s service life is greatly extended.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire’s overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer’s recommendation. This advertised number is provided to TireMart.com by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
